The U.S. Senate approved 447 Billion dollars in spending for a lot of agencies for 2010.
The vote was 57-36.
Republicans denounced the bill as wasteful spending. The Democratic -controlled Senate cleared a procedural vote needed to end the Republican fillibuster and allow for Sunday's cote to take place.
Among its many provisions, the bill also allows the government to transfer terrorism suspects to stand trial, and allow guns in checked luggage on Amtrack trains.
I think this bill is just for the government to be able to do what they want and not taking into consideration what the American people might want. They are spending to much money on things of this nature when they need to be focusing on more important things.
