Mexico was the first Latin American city to pass legislation recognizing same sex marriage. 39 votes in the favor of gay marriage. The local assembly also voted to allow adoption by same-sex couples, delivering two big doses of civil rights. The mayor Marcelo Ebrard, is widely expected to sign the bill. When this get written in the history books people think its going to hang in shame. "For centuries unjust laws banned marriage between blacks and whites or Indians and Europeans,"Victor Romo said. "Today all barriers have disappeared."
